un saluto a Clavarezza

oh good, my italian is very weak at best. Hi- I'm Esmé, I'm 21 years old. I have two sibilings, Maud and James. My mother was the only daughter of Vittoria's eldest son- he also had five sons. I want to talk to my mother and her brothers in order to give you accurate information on this front, but we all have been to clavarezza, My mother, Theresa Pedemonte, insisted on us driving down to liguria to see it when we were living in switzerland in 2006. We also went once before in 1995, and my mother spoke to an old woman, who was no longer alive by 2006, but who gave her some details about the family at that time. I'm afraid I don't know much- I was only five at the time, but I will ask her for some details about conversation. Serafina- that name sounds familiar I think we saw it in the church log when we visited. I would be fascinated to find out what provoked her son's move to Uruguay, and to see photos of them if you have any- it was very interesting to wander through the cemetary in Clavarezza, because the photos they posted on the graves, i don't know if you saw them, they all bore the same features as my mother's family- one had the real sense of have come from somewhere. please feel free to email me at esme_ellis@yahoo.com or facebook me: i have joined the clavarezza group.

I am 52, and live in Montevideo, Uruguay, South America, with all my family. 
Our grandfather, Giusseppe Firpo Navone was Vittoria's nephew, son of her sister Serafina Navone Firpo. 
He came to Uruguay with his wife (my grandmother Bice Firpo Banchero) and they built their family and life here. 
 
We have a small family tree where Vittoria appears married to Pedemonte, and we will be very glad to complete it with all the data you can provide.. 
 
Clavarezza is a beautiful place. We`ve been there last year and met part of the remaining family. 
We are planing our trip back there for 2013. 
 
I will be very glad to help you find any information you need about your ancestors, and eager to hear about Vittoria`s descendants in USA..

Hanno lasciato per vivere a San Francisco ~ 1914. Ho visitato la città nel 2006. vivo a New York ma tutta la mia famiglia italiana vive ancora a San Francisco
